We are thrilled to announce that Hope Rescue Mission is February 2025’s Charity of the Month! For every referral we receive this month, $10 will be donated back to this incredible organization that is making a profound impact in our community.
This year marks the 131st anniversary of Hope Rescue Mission, an organization dedicated to serving the homeless and helping them transition back into society. Over 300 individuals are currently in their shelter programs, providing refuge and support to those in need.
Hope Rescue Mission is focused on providing food, shelter, and essential services for men, women, and children in Berks County. In 2025 alone, The Mission and The LightHouse will serve over 1,000 men and 350 women and children. Their dedication to meeting both the physical and emotional needs of individuals in our community is inspiring, and we’re proud to support them this month.
Additionally, Berks Counseling Center has recently opened an outpatient treatment clinic at The Mission, offering vital counseling services to those working through mental health and substance abuse challenges. And, this spring, they will begin construction on a beautiful playground behind The LightHouse, creating a safe and welcoming space for families in need.
Here are some of the key contributions made by Hope Rescue Mission:
- 131 years of service to the community
- Serving over 300 individuals daily through their shelter programs

It costs $120 per week to shelter one person at The Mission. The organization relies entirely on donations and receives $0 in government funding.
